PharmaLegacy is a comprehensive preclinical CRO specializing in one-stop preclinical pharmacodynamic evaluation services, with extensive model resources in inflammation, autoimmune disease, and oncology. Established in 2008, the company is one of the earliest CROs in China to focus on comprehensive preclinical drug discovery services. Serving innovative biopharmaceutical companies worldwide, PharmaLegacy provides "drug-device integrated" preclinical research solutions spanning drug discovery, early screening, in vitro and in vivo efficacy evaluation, drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics, GLP toxicology, and the evaluation of Class III medical devices, all conducted in compliance with international standards.

The PharmaLegacy Biology Database was developed based on Meritudio's Tumor Models Module, a structured informatics framework designed to organize, search, and present complex model information in a user-friendly and scientifically interpretable format. The platform includes three major modules: Tumor Models, Disease Models, and DMPK, providing a centralized digital resource for exploring PharmaLegacy's preclinical model assets and service capabilities.

The Tumor Models module integrates several hundred oncology model datasets across five model types — cell lines, CDX, PDX, syngeneic models, and cachexia models — and incorporates core data dimensions including whole-exome sequencing, RNA sequencing, signaling pathways, standard treatment regimens, pathological information, tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes, and drug sensitivity data such as IC50 values. Building on this foundation, Meritudio's bioinformatics team conducted systematic resistance mechanism analysis on key resistant models, with selected results integrated directly into the module. Through integrated mining of multi-omics data, these models present a panoramic view of the intrinsic drivers of resistance, from key gene mutations to compensatory pathway activation, yielding a clear molecular resistance map that supports the identification of new candidate drugs capable of overcoming specific resistance mechanisms and provides a rationale for designing combination therapy strategies. The Disease Models and DMPK modules are launching soon, extending the platform to hundreds of indications across autoimmune and oncology research and to in vitro ADME screening, in vivo PK studies, and non-GLP/GLP toxicology analysis.

Key highlights include:
PharmaLegacy Biology Database Online Launch: Meritudio developed the PharmaLegacy Biology Database for PharmaLegacy as a dedicated online platform for structured preclinical model exploration.
Three Core Modules: The database includes Tumor Models, Disease Models, and DMPK, enabling users to explore different categories of model and research resources through a unified online platform.
Integrated Resistance Mechanism Analysis: Systematic bioinformatics analysis of key resistant tumor models is embedded within the platform, presenting multi-omics-derived molecular resistance maps.
Broad Model and Data Coverage: The Tumor Models module integrates several hundred datasets across five model types and core omics, pharmacological, and pathological dimensions.
Based on Meritudio's Tumor Models Module: The system leverages Meritudio's established framework for model annotation, organization, search, and data presentation.
Improved Data Accessibility: Standardized data management, multi-dimensional retrieval, and visualization templates replace scattered spreadsheets with a structured, searchable web-based interface.
Support for Preclinical Research: The platform helps researchers and drug development teams identify relevant models for oncology, autoimmune and inflammatory disease, metabolism, and translational research applications.
Customized Bioinformatics Solution: The project demonstrates Meritudio's capability to deliver tailored database platforms for partners in the life sciences industry.

The launch of the PharmaLegacy Biology Database highlights Meritudio's continued commitment to developing practical, scalable, and research-oriented bioinformatics solutions. With deployments now completed for four industry organizations, Meritudio has established end-to-end engineering capabilities spanning multi-omics data management, in-depth resistance mechanism analysis, and integrated front-end retrieval and back-end analytics. By transforming complex model information into an accessible digital platform, Meritudio helps partners improve data usability, strengthen model resource visibility, and support efficient preclinical research and drug development.
