Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Bioinformatics SaaS Sales Specialist to join our team. This role involves driving sales of our cutting-edge bioinformatics software solutions, designed for researchers and organizations in the life sciences, pharmaceutical, and biotech industries. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of bioinformatics, experience in SaaS sales, and a passion for empowering scientists with innovative tools.
Key Responsibilities
Sales and Client Management
- Identify and engage prospective customers, including academic institutions, biotech startups, and pharmaceutical companies.
- Demonstrate and present our bioinformatics SaaS solutions to clients, highlighting value propositions tailored to their research and business needs.
- Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to closing deals.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and identify upselling opportunities.
- Collaborate with the customer success team to address client feedback and support adoption.
Market Research and Strategy
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor products, and market demands in bioinformatics and computational biology.
- Contribute to the development of sales strategies to target specific segments and grow market share.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with the marketing team to generate high-quality leads through campaigns and events.
- Provide feedback to the product development team to ensure solutions meet client expectations and market needs.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Life Sciences, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
- Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in SaaS sales, preferably in the life sciences or bioinformatics sector.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Technical Skills:
- Understanding of bioinformatics workflows, databases, or tools (e.g., RNA-Seq analysis, pathway enrichment).
- Familiarity with CRM tools like Salesforce or HubSpot.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
